Six oak trees have been planted on the village green today. The trees were donated by Balfour Beatty as part of the now abandoned HS2 project.
New tree planting is part of the parish council’s council’s response to the Climate Emergency, and also starts the process of replanting trees to replace those we are having to remove over recent years.
Our thanks go to Ben, Jordan, Tomas & Ellie from the BIFFA site at Cold Meece, who were on hand to help and quickly made light work of the job. Also helping with the planting were Cllrs Stella Hughes and Ed Whitfield and John Fraser.
