Launch of new website and council emails

The parish council has moved to a new gov.uk website and email account.

Published: 30 March 2025

The parish council has launched its new website using a “.gov.uk” domain to provide a more secure platform for its website and email accounts, with continuous central government monitoring for potential security vulnerabilities.

Moving to the .gov.uk domain immediately signals to users that the website is an official government site. This enhances the credibility of the information presented and the authenticity of the message, as it’s recognised as a trusted source. For residents seeking council services or information, this trust is invaluable.

Plans are in place to improve accessibility to council documents, prioritizing formats that allow  readability and navigation for all users, including those with disabilities, through features like structured content, clear headings, and alternative text for images.

The new site is hosted by Parish Online cloud services, a not-for-profit organisation working with parish councils to provide high quality services. To support this work a £100 grant has been received from the Government’s Domains Helper Service.

The new emails for the councillors and clerk can be found on the website.
