DOG CONTROL – HAVE YOUR SAY

Stafford Borough Council is consulting on the renewal and proposed changes to the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) covering the whole borough, including Yarnfield and Cold Meece.

The existing order includes a borough-wide ban on dog fouling and restrictions on dogs at the Greenside playground.

Yarnfield and Cold Meece Parish Council is recommending that three local sites are designated as “dogs on lead” areas:

  • Greenside playground
  • Children’s play area, Worthington Grove
  • Multi-use play area, Yarnfield Parkway

Residents are encouraged to have their say by completing the online consultation.

📅 Consultation closes: 16 August 2026
