What is the Annual Parish Assembly?
Parish Councils are required by law to hold an Annual Parish Meeting, which must take place between 1st March and the 1st June every year.
The meeting acts as an annual point of contact between the Parish Council and residents of the parish to explain what it has been doing over the last year and providing an opportunity for the electors to have their say on anything they consider is important to the people of the parish.
Who can attend the meeting?
The Annual Parish Assembly is a meeting which is open to all the residents of the parish.
Will I be able to ask questions and make suggestions?
Yes, any resident may ask questions of the Council. A resident may also make suggestions and comment on anything relevant to the residents of the parish.
Agenda
The agenda and any reports for the meeting will be published 7 days before the meeting date.
Minutes
The minutes of the meeting will be published 7 days before the next meeting date.
